LIFE OF A NIGERIAN GRADUATE

While you were in school, you took your studies very serious.

You graduated with a sharp 2:1 or a few points below the 4.5 benchmark for a first class.

And you were one of the best graduating students in your department.

Just a few weeks after your NYSC,

You got a one year paid internship with one of the biggest bank in Nigeria.

You were in the Cash Department Management.

And you thought it was perfect for you.

You took your job very serious even though it takes too much of your time and gives little in return.

In the final weeks of your internship, your supervisor broke the news

For economic reasons they were no longer going to employ you as a full time staff.

Not even the 3 years probation they promised you.

Nothing new here!

This is Nigeria!

You didn't know this is probably going to happen...

Because as far as you were concerned you had a good result and the brain to back it up.

You started applying for jobs.

You did different tests and interviews but they never give you the job.

After about 10 months searching for jobs...

You finally got a job at a small mortgage bank.

They paid you like N80,000. You were really excited.

But your office is quite far from home and you spent almost half of your salary on transport fare.

There's loads of job to be done and your manager refuse to employ more staff.

So you were doing the job of 7 people altogether.

And you couldn't complain or ask for a raise because you might risk being sack and that means going back to the street.

Meanwhile, you didn't know there's a lots of legit, legal ways you can increase your income with your phone, not even a laptop.

Or you probably thought making money online is a Scam.

Well, you just kept applying for better job opportunities hoping they would call you for an interview soon.

But the bad thing is that nobody ever did and you kept complaining about your job, but you never make a plan for an exit.

The Lesson here is:

The life you want, the system can't give it to you.

You have to create something for yourself.

No matter where you are in life, you have all it takes to build that life of your dream.

Before you know it you're 50 and you are still where you were 30 years ago.

And still hoping things will get better like most people do.

The next 5 years of your life might be good or bad

It all depends in what your decision is...

I hope this is helpful.
