President Muhammadu Buhari, his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo and other top government officials yesterday got vaccinated with booster jabs in order to enhance their protection against the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The President got the jab in the Presidential Villa just as the Director-General of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr.Faisal Shuaib, disclosed that other senior government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha and some ministers have received theirs. Shuaib in an interaction with State House Correspondents after supervising the jab on the President, counselled against vaccine hesitancy, insisting that the jabs were safe and efficacious.

According to him, the President taking the booster jab alongside other senior government officials had demonstrated that the vaccine was safe. Shuaib said over eight million Nigerians have already taken the jab adding that doing so gives considerable immunity against the rampaging Omicron variant of COVID-19. The NPHCDA boss disclosed that COVID-19 infection has become a disease of the unvaccinated hinting that available data revealed that 8 out of every 10 dead victims of the disease were unvaccinated.

President of my country and not my body. You can't take away people's rights by injecting substances in them. Wonder when politicians became health officers or doctors. Why are we not seeing many doctors campaigning for this vaccine? Why are they silent? Instead it's politicians, business men, media and musicians that are advocating for vaccines.

The objective of ANY vaccine is to STOP or PREVENT transmission, not reducing it....therefore its not a vaccine to begin with

Mandate is not a law.

Mandate requires active consent and
'must' in civil legal law means 'may'
