Queen Silekunola Naomi has quit her role as the Queen of Ile-Ife and the wife of the Ooni of Ife. She announced this morning that she’s no longer the wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

Queen Naomi, an Evangelist, married the traditional ruler in October 2018 and they had a child, Prince Tadenikawo Ogunwusi together in November 2020. Taking to her official Facebook page in the early hours of Thursday, December 23, 2021, the mother of one appreciated her son and described him as a sign of God’s knowledge of her situation, as she appealed to aggrieved persons to allow peace to reign, and respect their son. She wrote:
