Genesis 4:3,5-7
[3]And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord.
[5]but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
[6]So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
[7]If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

Our Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word today which we are about to share, please we ask that You prepare our hearts for the entrance of Your Word, let us be fertile and fruit producing. Cleanse us thoroughly through the previous blood of Jesus, please forgive us of our sins, sanctify us unto You. We pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Don't Let Failure Push You to Sin

Dear Followers of Christ,
It is pretty much common knowledge that when You are doing something new for the very first time, the probability to fall is way higher than they of winning.
But according to the above narrative, this seems to have elided Cain. Maybe Adam had been offering to God, but for the sake of the fact that the first biblical record was Cain's, let's take Cain's as the first offering to God.
Normally when You fail, especially if it is at something You are doing for the first time, You will seek a way to learn so You can do better next time, Cain probably didn't do it, under the influence of emotions, maybe envy, anger or frustration He killed his only brother at the time and He brought a curse upon Himself.
The Bible is written in such a way that we can interact with many different characters and circumstances so we can learn from other people's experiences. Don't abuse this privilege.
