Fantasy Premier League: Who Is Suspended Or Close To A Ban? by mogpet(m): 5:29pm On Dec 28, 2021 |
The Scout highlights the Fantasy picks at risk of missing matches in the coming Gameweeks During the busy festive period, Fantasy Premier League managers must take into account not only rotation but the absence of players in their squads through suspension. Any player earning five bookings from their side's first 19 Premier League matches will serve a one-match ban in the same competition. Yellow cards are not carried over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup. Players who accumulate 10 yellow cards in Premier League matches up to and including their team's 32nd fixture will serve a two-match suspension in the competition. Players completing bans Yves Bissouma (£4.4m) sat out Brighton & Hove Albion's 2-0 win over Brentford following his fifth yellow card of the campaign. He is available for the trip to Chelsea. Isaac Hayden (£4.5m) was kept out of Newcastle United's 1-1 draw with Manchester United after he too picked up five yellows. Having completed his ban, he's an option to face Everton on Thursday. Seven players are suspended for upcoming matches. Joining Fernandes on the sidelines after reaching the suspension threshold are Tyrone Mings (£5.0m), Javier Manquillo (£3.9m), Declan Rice (£5.1m) and Christian Norgaard (£5.0m). Wilfried Zaha (£6.8m) was sent off for receiving two cautions in Crystal Palace's 3-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur. He misses the home match against Norwich City. Andrew Robertson (£7.1m) serves the second of his three-match ban after his red card in Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Spurs in Gameweek 18. He will be absent for the trip to Leicester City and the subsequent encounter with Chelsea. Walking a tightrope Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle each played their 19th match in Gameweek 19 so owners of Reece James (£6.4m), Bernardo Silva (£7.6m), Ruben Dias (£6.2m) and Callum Wilson (£7.4m) can breathe a sigh of relief, with these players all avoiding a fifth booking and the prospect of a ban. However, Raphinha (£6.5m) is among those still at risk. Along with 31 others, the Brazilian is one booking away from a suspension. Postponements mean Palace, Liverpool, Norwich, Southampton and West Ham United will complete their quota of 19 matches in Gameweek 20. Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, Everton, Leeds United, Leicester, Man Utd and Wolverhampton Wanderers will play their 19th fixture in Gameweek 21. Spurs and Watford will reach that point in Gameweek 22, and Burnley will do so in Gameweek 23. |
