Lagos state VIO has changed the process of road worthiness effective from 4th Jan 2022

Vehicles will now have to be sighted and inspected at any VIO office before road worthiness is issued.

For now we are only able to process only vehicle license and insurance and deliver same day

You will need to drive the vehicle into any VIO office near you for inspection, thereafter, the road worthiness will be issued.

STEP 1
a. Process your vehicle license and or insurance with CarReg at Carreg.com.ng
request renewal of these by whatsapp or SMS or on our website

b. CarReg will deliver same day
we recommend this is done before step2

STEP 2
a. Drive into any VIO office near you(should in case the one near you cannot do the inspection, ask them for the next closest one to you where inspection can be done)

b. Request for road worthiness issuance and inspection

c. Make payment for the road worthiness (4,800 for a picanto, yaris or corolla size and 5,600 for Camry, accord, Benz, Lexus, and jeep size)

d. A VIO officer will lead you to the vehicle inspection scene (usually in the same compound). you will not pay anything at this place, cost already inclusive above

f. If the inspection is passed, the Inspection certificate will be issued from the inspection scene and you can them come back to the office where you paid and road worthiness will be issued or printed

g. Should in case the inspection failed, you will be told to go fix the issues and come back.

h. Vehicle will not be arrested or impounded at these centers for any reason, VIO officers had given their words
