If it was Governor Wike that that CSP disobeyed, he would have known that there are governors and there are Governors. Sanwoolu can’t claim to be in charge in Lagos after this incident. Pointus Pilate is only in charge to the extent Buhari allows. Wike would not tolerate that in Rivers, and something must happen to that CSP. Sadly, Sanwoolu is not assertive enough for a state like Lagos. And no big surprise. He was picked by Tinubu precisely because of his anodyne nature. Heavy Baba so pe Governor!

I have no issue with the governor showing a little bit of respect to a police officer... I admire good humility.

Although, the governor did not sound assertive enough in my opinion.

That CSP was just following orders

And he told the governor the truth, call the IG or AGF.
He was on Official assignment from the IG and only the IG can cancel such assignment.

Sanwo Olu lacks the pedigree to lead.

You can't be leading millions of people and still be naive. As a Governor of a State with power and authority, you can't come to such scenario and be using "Please", "Can you".
You talk with authority.

Only Wike's voice alone will send the abokki CSP into hiding.

Enough of all this talk ..the CSP did nothing wrong and acted very professionally..The Governor is actually the one that's wrong here ..
First the CSP is only there as an escort to a supreme court judgment where he and his men are to prevent a breakdown of law and order as court bailiffs enforce the rulling

Sanwoolu should know there is no other way around a supreme court judgement , if they wanted amicable settlement then he should have done that before the supreme court passed judgement.

Sanwo expecting a commons CSP to call the IG of police is laughable because that CSP doesn't even have IGP number.

Sanwo wanting the CSP to disclose the exact number of men he had in public was very unprofessional because disclosing the exact number of men could put CSP and his men at risk and the CSP did the right thing by refusing to disclose the exact number

Wike voice will not do anything, Order is Order.
He should've called the commissioner of police, he would've handle the situation.

please what would you've done in this scenario if you're the Governor of Lagos state? please say it and let's see how sensible you're and stop using that tout as reference, not everyone can be executive hooligan

Another illiterate.
The governor's authority and power are clearly limited by the constitution.
Lagosians obviously don't want a tout as governor.

Wike would have been disgraced in similar situations if he tries to exert a power he doesn't have
against lawful police action.

Amaechi once locked his State stadium against the President's Order. Goodluck wanted to use the Stadium for rally.

It took the ruggedity of Patience, the first lady before Amaechi calmed down.

Ruggedity is needed in leadership, forget Order.

if I'm the Governor of Lagos state, I won't have a word with the police chief publicly, I will silently make calls to the AGF the acting president and the IGP while I request to see the CSP in my office on the subject matter

the police Boss never disrespect Sanwoolu, Sanwoolu disrespect himself by having a private conversation publicly. I know he's trying to be compassionate but he should have just promised the Residents that the state govt is on top of the matter then leave immediately and not this show of shame

as a matter of fact, the CSP is the one being disgrace here with Sanwoolu questioning him the figures of his men, Reno is senseless

State stadium and Amaechi was the Governor.
The Stadium was opened because Rivers elders called, not because of Patience.
Ruggedity has his limit in government, even Sanwo Olu was aware of his.

politician will always be politician, I'm not justifying anything. police have the constitutional right to enforce a law with the order of their superior according to the constitution

he doesn't need to confront the CSP, this case is not about superiority is about law and enforcement which should have been solved politically without this controversy, this is where Sanwoolu goofed

You see why Nigeria deserves the Buhari she gets
When we see democrats who gets things done by due process, we call them weak.

When we see tyrants evil don't care for court judgement, national assembly or rule of law, just to get their personal vendetta, we hail them as strong.

Isn't this how we ended up with Buhari over Gej, one we thought will be ruthless on corruption and insecurity?
