The drama won't end there. They said he was a king before so how can he migrate to Olubadan again.. I see legal fireworks after his enthronement

Lol @ Ibadan is not Kano ... Don't underestimate the power of a sitting Governor ... And don't forget there is litigation already when the Senator was conferred with the title of Obaship by the former governor of the State
you are very correct, with an history of litigation anything can happen

Well congratulations in advance. But courtesy or tradition and respect demands that the late Olubadan should be respected and allow at least 8 days mourning before decision is made for incoming Olubadan. Once more, Congratulations to the next Olubadan. Your reign shall be a favourable one to all and sundries most especially the Ibadan indigenes. Kabiyesi O !!!

Subject to the withdrawal of all appeal against the status squo. When APC was destroying age long legacies, the kingmaker accepted the the puppet king. How do you make a king another king it is not possible.

He who lives in glass house should not throw a stone!

The same Balogun that challenges Olubadan supremacy few months ago when Late Ajimobi made him a small king is now happy to become Olubadan.

Balogun had desecrated the title of Olubadan already.

IWhat a charade !!

Useless throne. Come to Benin City and learn kingship. Everything is not about loud mouth and ritual killings.

Dumb comment. Absolutely no need to make useless comparisons. Compare their contribution to their people not useless display of royalty that benefits no one

No basis for comparison . This is Ibadan you can go to Benin and spew what you like. It is none of our business.

Lekan Balogun disrespected the stool he is anticipating to mount. His reign will most probably be filled with disrespect to the throne with divisions.

Most times, you guys from this part, talks like someone with diesel running through their brains. Try to get sense abeg. Your tradition is not superior to other people's tradition as you guy like to stupidly believe. In fact, making this statement all the time shows the low level of your so called high class. Whichever way people choose to live their life please respect it so yours can be so respected too

xo wat happens when the governor refuses to authenticate this nomination..... The governor has the final say , just as the demised olubadan couldn't stop Mr constituted authority from forming Kings from former chief , such shows the elevated position of the governor.

The governor really has no role in the process leading to the appointment of a traditional ruler. The kingmakers appoint and the relevant local government chairman will consent. The governor will simply come to ceremonially handover the staff of office.

Ibadan kingship is a settled case. After Lekan Salami, the next in-line knows himself. No governor can change it. Ajimobi tried and failed so who is Seyi to change an established tradition?
