Jakumo: No airport was taken over in any African nation. Even if it happens, it was built with Chinese funds take it like a foreign investor has built the infrastructure and holds the right to concession till the loan is liquidated or paid off 1 Like |

neyorlmogzy: See another ignorant failed citizen. China recently completed the great gorges dam supplying 25,000mw till today. USA TVA dam system is a strategic part of their power base supply. Are these poor and corrupt countries? You are looking for everyway to denigrate your country and by extension disrespect your origin |

Kennydoc: Every Chinese infrastructure projects include 10-15% counterpart funding. Par adventure you don't know what that means, it requires Nigeria to pay 10-15% of the project cost before work can start. We could not find the counterpart funding to start these projects during oil boom when we sold oil worth over $100bn a year. Now that we hardly sell $30bn worth a year we now find the money. That's what that guy is saying. |

Yet some willfully blind people will ask what they use the borrowed loans for |

I've said it before that it is 2022 that most people will see what all those borrowed loans were used for. It is in 2022 that most infrastructures will be completed. Although some of them have decided to be willfully blind. 1 Like |

Jakumo:And what "if" this hydroelectric power dam becomes owned by China? Would the Chinese use the dam to power China or it will it not still power the same Nigeria where it is situated? You mischievously gave examples of countries that defaulted on their loans and forfeited their assets to China and left the ones that pay back their loans and are enjoying the infrastructures they built with the loans.. Don't worry, Nigeria would not default on the Chinese loans like you want them to. They will pay it then you will find something else to wail about. 2 Likes 1 Share |

So because it is being financed by china, they had to give the plant a chinese name? Africans are about to be colonized again. The only group of people who have been colonized by the arabs, the europeans and now the chinese. How unfortunate! |

Ovamboland: Your blatant lie notwithstanding, Uganda's Entebbe Airport has indeed become Chinese property because Uganda was unable to repay a Chinese loan in the agreed time frame. The seizure of Uganda's only international airport is perfectly legal under the loan-shark fine-print of the debt trap in which Uganda now finds itself, with no available recourse to any court of law. https://www.indiatoday.in/world/story/uganda-international-airport-china-default-debt-repayment-1881674-2021-11-28 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwXO07gei-c It is interesting to observe how you hastily concede your naive assessment that China's motives are purely altruistic might be 100% false, by appending the disclaimer that EVEN IF China is the new owner of Uganda's airport, that change of ownership is nothing to worry about. That innocent presumption that Chinese objectives are inherently good for Africa is dead wrong, good sir. The takeover of any nation's SOLE international airport is a MAJOR strategic loss into the hands of a foreign power, who can then use that airport to fly in weaponry, materiel, troops, electronic surveillance gear, and all the key equipment required to "peacefully" colonize any nation with absolute impunity over a very short period of time. While your confused ramblings are fascinating to try and decipher, Uganda is in deep chit over this loss of that nation's primary gateway to the world, which has now become part of Greater China. The East African nation of Eritrea in the Horn of Africa, is now hosting a gigantic and permanent Chinese military presence comprising many thousand ethnic Chinese Red Army troops armed to the teeth and equipped for rapid deployment anywhere in that entire subregion. China's back-door economic colonization of Africa using the leverage of loan-shark "infrastructure grants", will befall numerous African nations INCLUDING Nigeria over the coming years, UNLESS African heads-of-state who are willing to REFUSE Chinese "assistance", emerge in Africa against all odds. |

Ovamboland:Ode, first and foremost, am no longer part of your failed country. Secondly, read very well about the dams you mentioned above, the Chinese started construction of the dam in 1994, do the maths, and see how long and the effort to get perfection..just like their are inferior phones, cars etc, so also is the hydro electricity used by Nigeria the lowest of all qualities available.. |
