President Buhari Cancels FEC Meeting Again by Mazulu: 6:55am On Jan 12, 2022
The weekly Federal Executive Council meeting that holds every Wednesday at the Presidential Villa would not be holding today January 12, 2022, Quest Times reports.

At least three ministers who pleaded anonymity confirmed to Quest Times that President Muhammadu Buhari approved a recommendation from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr. Boss Mustapha to cancel today’s meeting.

Mustapha had proposed that the resumption of the weekly FEC meeting in the new year be delayed because a number of ministers had taken the opportunity of the end of the year and new year festivities to take their annual vacations and won’t return until next week.

Recall that at the end of last year FEC held two meetings in the week leading to Christmas. One meeting was on the regular Wednesday December 22, 2021 and then a special meeting on the following Thursday December 23, 2021.

Since then FEC has not held for two weeks and today’s cancellation would be the third straight week FEC would not be meeting. There is no confirmation as yet whether the FEC will resume next week, but one of the Council members said the President is not likely to tolerate any further delay of the resumption of the weekly cabinet meeting.

Said the source who is among those who conformed the cancellation to this newspaper “the President’s body language is not to overstretch the vacation time especially as he has several targets set for 2022 that he insists must be met.”

Cancelled because many ministers are still on vacation...
whereas civil "SERVANTS" have resumed back to duty since January 4 and today is 12 yet some ministers are yet to enter their offices or have a meeting to move the country forward! The senate was even said to have only sat for 66 days or so in all of last year despite that a lot of them only go their to sleep!
Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop.

Why all the money spent on top computer gadgets in the executive chambers. I thought it would prevent situation where some people who are supposed to be in a meeting happen to be away.

Anyway all the meetings they had and Nigeria has remained the same. So no worries
