They won't create vacancy for senior officers, they want young blood that they can be able to post to dead zones to suffer, they should first solve the problem of the junior officers before recruiting more officers, like issue of the police barracks, uniform allowance and others.

That's because the police act so unprofessionally in these 2 geopolitical zones. Most people would rather be unemployed than join the police

158 applied from anambara. Then give them the job and stop disturbing us. Will you employ the whole 158 candidates from anambara?

Most useless corrupt force in the world...

This is actually a problem... I think southern elders should find a way to galvanise some of their indigenes into the force... the current provost(/whatever the top post is) of NDA is from Kano...you can be sure that Kano indigenes will have increased in number on all NDA entrants list since he was transferred there. Give it another fifteen/twenty years and you'd have them being the most senior officers and be extension being the ones at the top posts of the armed forces....

If southerners can also begin to have this level of long-term thinking, the changes we need in the police force can not come from individuals who do not know what it means to have rights.... typical southerners aren't servile in nature... if one/two/three people attempt to divert any funds meant for others into their personal pockets... you can expect one/two of them to later blow up the secret....

moreso, in a space where you have many of them being at least better educated or coming from families that are not all poor... riding roughshod over everyone will not be so easy....

educated people don't go around shooting people dead the way they went to do so during endsars...

well educated persons cannot have given the kind of order that came from Abuja that time.... as we blame the ones in lagos for that atrocity.... it is good to know that they are only following order they received from superiors who are sure that by reason of indigeneship and nature....there cannot be members of even their extended family involved in that mess....

the situation will have been different if the top guns in the police were more southern or at least evenly distributed.

you can judge that from the way they even handle bandits and terrorists...you hear them say "they are our brothers" from even the president of the country as well as their governors.
