THIS DAY IN HISTORY Prominent Nigerians the Prime Minister and Premiers of the Northern and Western Region and many of their family members and other key people from those regions and the MidWestern Region were brutally murdered in an Eboe led coup whilst no single Eboe leader was killed. The Eboes were all spared by some strange coincidence |

The after-effects of that coup (codenamed 'Operation Damisa') are still being felt in our polity till this day. One can only imagine how different Nigeria would be today had the coup not happened. |

Some people act ad if Nigeria was the only country that had coup. Most countries in Africa went through military coup in the 60's and 70's. Ghana went through several military coups, some of them bloody. But Ghana is today a beacon of democracy in Africa and is generally rated by the international community more than Nigeria A country that is meant to be do well will do well regardless of if it went through military coup or not |
