The impermanence of propaganda against eastern Nigeria didn’t seem the flicker the progressive drive in the east.

Awka, anambra state capital saw a massive developmental growth with siting of clubs, hotels businesses and even infrastructural development.

Below are pictures of new areas in awka bursting with growth

Not just Awka alone.

I went to okigwe(imo) last week, I couldn't believe the level of development I saw there.

Nice to see owners are greening up their plots....though there’s still a lot of work to be done. The local gov’t should embark on a tree planting excercise along the major roads, and ensure they’re swept regularly and free of sand/sediment. Also, all public institutions should be made to plant grass in their open spaces as i’m still seeing a lot of bald patches where tended lawns ought to be.

To a large extent, Awka is still a diamond in the rough.
