Interestingly, this was a time that the PDP President,HE Obasanjo, who appointed Mallam Ribadu as the Pioneer Chairman of EFCC , does not see eye to eye with AD's Asiwaju Tinubu as the Executive Governor of Lagos State.

It was so bad then that Ex-President Obasanjo, who made a mincemeat of his political opponents he found skeletons in their cupboards like HE Alamiesegha, HE Ibori, HE Atiku etc, frustrated attempt by Lagos State to generate its own electricity by insisting that the independent electricity generated in Lagos , under the Independent Power Policy program pioneered by Asiwaju to remove Lagos State from the then completely moribund national NEPA, must be transferred to the national grid for distribution to all states of the federation including FCT and Pa Obasanjo further went on to vindictively withhold our state LG allocations just to punish Lagos State Government because of Asiwaju Tinubu despite SC judgement that the funds be released even though the process of the Lagos LCDAs remain inchoate.

The political career of Asiwaju Tinubu would have ended if his sworn political enemy, Pa Obasanjo, had found something criminal on him. Asiwaju Tinubu would have been thoroughly disgraced, in fact, the disgrace metted out to Alams and Alhaji Tafa Balogun, Ex-IGP, would have been a child's play.

So I completely agree with Mallam Ribadu that they must have found Asiwaju Tinubu clean enough not to have given him same disgrace.
In fact, I remember that most of the criminals in political offices that Mallam Ribadu sent to jail were crying that EFCC was being used by Pa Obasanjo as an attack dog but no one took them serious, in fact, everyone ignored them because the greatest political opponent of Pa Obasanjo was Asiwaju Tinubu yet at no single time was Asiwaju Tinubu indicted by EFCC.

Asiwaju Tinubu was the only opposition member who completely defeated the bullish Pa Obasanjo . This helped Asiwaju Tinubu to join others to foil the 3rd term project with the then Speaker of the HORs and the rest is now political history.

Once again, here's my appeal to my fellow patriotic Nigerians, please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.
Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely capable and competent to lead Nigeria to greater heights.
He will serve you to the best of your interest as citizens of this great nation.
He is an experienced public administrator and a Patriot. Please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.

The difference between Tinubu and other governors then is that... Tinubu would embezzle 30% and work with the remaining 70% but other governors will embezzle 90% and keep 10% for unfinished projects.
