They wants to milk commercial drivers dry, they don't want them to take anything home,is it a crime to venture into transport business? all eyes are on transporters, after securing you driver license, road worthiness, hackney permit, insurance and your vehicle license you will still come to the road and buy fuel to set your car for work and end up paying unreasonable fees to some misfortunate miscreants on a government road.its a shame to the government and its policies.

Expect fares to go up because it was clearly made known in the release that union dues won't be affected.
In otherwords, these commercial operators would still pay all the assorted union dues and then pay this extra ₦800.
The rate at which every space and major street is being turned to a bus or Keke stop in Lagos and every major road has an Union ticket issuer/money collector I am beginning to feel each councillor, council chairman, union leader, traditional ruler Baale and Omonile head have been allocated route areas to collect money from.
One of the major employers of labour in Lagos State now seems to be Union work because every street would soon become a union due collecting point;your route pass the street u must pay.
Lagos has now officially legalised agberoism. No wonder they don't obey lastma or police any longer.

APC uses the agberos to win election, hence the state turns a blind eye to them. If not for the agberos, Tinubu would probably have lost the 2003 election.

The poor masses are the one generating income for the elite in our society.

The elite hadly think of what to do to help the poor masses.
They will rather think about what to do in other to generate money from the poor masses.

Good development. Instead of those lousy NURTW collecting dues and feeding fat on the liquidity of the public transportation system, the someone of the money should also go to the state government coffers.

Modify: to everyone quoting me, you can rest now.

In what way?
Some of these transporters make more money than you as a salary earner or a small business enterprise. If government is collecting tax from you what is stopping them from transporter who benefit more on good good roads being maintained by state government.

I believe you comment negatively because of hatred for Tinubu

Pls stop being stupid. Okay?

They previously had to pay taxes to every local government that they passed through (which could add up to ₦3,000 per day) . Now they will only need to pay tax to one local government per day and that's just ₦800 per day.
Now i understand. And lagos state will start getting their real money because local government steal alot. This might increase IGR

NURTW Chairman, Lagos chapter, Alhaji Akinsanya, while clarifying the issue, stated that the N800 would not cover the levy collected by the ‘agberos,’ saying it only affected the taxes and other charges being collected by the state government.

agberos is a racketeer that needs to be faced out but it can't since the satanic Oldman with the fake name Tinubu is the funder.

NURTW Chairman, Lagos chapter, Alhaji Akinsanya, while clarifying the issue, stated that the N800 would not cover the levy collected by the ‘agberos,’ saying it only affected the taxes and other charges being collected by the state government.

According to him, “I want to make it clear that the N800 daily levy only covers all the money collected by the MDAs; it does not affect NURTW ticket.”
