Super Eagles captain and Nigerian Muslim Celebrity Person of the Year, Ahmed Musa on Friday donated $1,500 (about N600k) to support an ongoing building project at the Central Mosque in Garoua, Cameroon, according to multiple media reports.

The media aide to Musa also confirmed the story to be true when speaking with Muslim News on Saturday, January 22

Complete Sports and other Nigerian media had earlier reported that Nigerian players and officials of the team have been worshipping at the Central Mosque located close to the Eagles camp (Hotel Le Ribadu) since their arrival in Garoua.

The kind gesture extended to the Muslim community after Solatul Jum’ah was to support the ongoing building project at the mosque.

Musa, a philanthropist and role model to many youths was named Nigerian Muslim Celebrity of the Year 2020 by this medium

The winger has made one appearance for Nigeria at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The Super Eagles will take on the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in their second round of 16 fixture at the Roumde Adjia Stadium, Garoua on Sunday night.

one tin I like about dis muslims is dt dey see the religion as one n take all mosques as the same, musa can easily give or help any mosque he wants to help no matter where he is around d world..
but Ighalo being a Christian from a catholic background would only av soft spot or huge preference for catholic churches around him, n if any other christian domination seeks for funding, he may Gv be not as freely or easily like d Catholic churches...
