The iconic Olaiya Flyover in Osogbo, Osun State, awarded by the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola is now at advanced stage of completion.

The 0.64km Flyover, awarded in February 2021 for N2.7 net of all taxes, is being handled by Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Limited founded by Engr Olarenwaju Adeleke, an Indigene of Osun State from Ile-Ogbo, Aiyedire Local Government Area of the state. The project is built through the Alternative Project Financing model.

However, the success story of the project can't be complete without the input of the governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola, who initiated the project and has provided the needed leadership to drive the project; and efforts of the state's Ministry of Works and Transport led by Engr Oluremi Omowaiye.

The Flyover is a 4-span of 15m each, with two Underpass bays for U-turning to Fakunle/Justrite and MDS/Post Office. It is a 295.95m length of Bridge Approach Ramp, 196m long Fakunle Ramp, 99.95m long MDS Ramp, with slope of Ramp being 3 per cent. The width is 10m.

The width of an average car is 1.8m. The maximum width is 2.55m. The width of an average trailer is 2.4m, while the maximum width is 3m.

Watch the short video of the current state of the project as captured some days ago.

Nigerian Engineers are doing great and I celebrate them.

This is very impressive and I commend the indigenous engineering firm for the great job.
They should ensure that it's of the best quality to stand for decades.
The iconic Oshodi interchange was constructed and designed by indigenous engineering firm too. The name of the firm is Planet Projects Limited.
I want to plead with our state governments to patronise these two firms. The quality of their works speak volumes. In return, our indigenous engineering firms should reciprocate by building quality engineering works.

Meanwhile, please bring your investments to Lagos so you can get great returns and global visibility for your business in a safe environment.

All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. God bless Nigeria forever.

Lagos State is land of limitless possibilities.

But we all won't reside there

Thank you for your kind words for Lagos. You are right and that's why we invite you to take opportunities here in Lagos sir.
The MNCs in Lagos and some indigenous firms ONLY have their corporate presence in Lagos due to the prestige and visibility it gives their brand and business. The main shareholders may not even reside in Lagos but come in for business and return to their bases outside Lagos or Nigeria.

It's that endless opportunities we invite you to come and take a slice of sir wink

This is how it should be.... After 61 years, not all government contract should be handled by foreigners.

Yes the quality might suffer at the beginning but consistency will lead to better work output and quality.

I just don't like when Nigerians finish building, they will leave remnant of sands which defaces the project on the long run.
This would have been more beautiful if the sands were properly swept.

Nigerian Civil Engineers and Architects are doing great.
This is commendable.
Awarding flyover and other construction to foreign companies gulps huge amounts of money.
And at the end of the day, it's still Nigerians that will handle all the machines/construction from start to finish.
Flyover construction is not a rocket science, the state ministry of works with staffs made up of architect and civil engineering bright graduates can perform the magic.
Umahi comes to mind.
