Houthis are an Iran backed group according to this CNN as usual biased reporting, they are a tribe in Yemen which follows a version of Shi'ite Islam, they deposed former President Hadi who is Sunni and backed by Saudi Arabia, UAE and the West.

Its all about control of power and resources, the Saudis and Emiratis have already killed thousands of Yemen through indiscriminate bombings of markets, schools and parties, it's good that the Houthis are making the Saudi and Emirati invaders to feel pains too.

US has supplied billions of dollars worth of weapons to these allies who have failed to defeat the Houthis because there soldiers don't feel motivated to fight, so they resorted to hiring mercenaries from Africa to fight and die for them.
