Junene:
Hello Nairalanders! please I need your help. I got my visa in October last year and immediately applied for my kids. Since then, no response. I traveled ahead and left my kids behind because school was resuming in April but it was the hardest period of my life.
I spoke with my program coordinators and they allowed me come back home since my courses were virtual.

This is my dilemma: After doing the Canadian life for a few weeks I’ve seen how difficult it’ll be for me to combine school and 2 toddlers (2&4 year olds) without my husband (he’s staying back) and I think I should wait for both of them to be of school age first. Even if I want to come with them, I’ll have to reapply and with all these IRCC long waiting times, the visa may not come in time for me to go with them in September. If I abandon this study visa (it expires in Feb 2023), will I have issues getting a new one when I’m ready (maybe in 2 years)? What would you guys honestly advice?

See ehn, sometimes all we need is a strong will and encouragement.I am leaving on a few weeks and leaving my kids behind(2 and 5)with their dad,the year old has a visa and the 5year old is a US passport holder,I know I can’t cope with them and school, that’s why I am leaving them, hubby will apply after I land and hopefully everything works out as planned even though is he moving permanently yet ,we will work it out.
It won’t be easy, but you should be ready to put in effort, make all necessary arrangements to ensure your kids are comfortable and in safe hands,it’s just for a little time, come home as often as you can and God will perfect your plans.

Its PPR guys! God is indeed faithful.

Family application. Study visa for kids and SOWP for spouse. I used the GCkey Portal.

Here is my timeline:

Submission: May 4, 2022
Upfront Medical for all: May 10, 2022
Biometric done and Updated: May 13, 2022
Medical Passed for all: May 19, 2022

1st Application, I applied with my 3children then in March 23, 2019, we all chopped hot breakfast by May 9, 2019.
Looking back the first application didn't make sense. Thank God for nairaland.com. If I know some of the things I know now. I would not have been denied.

Fast forward I decided that I will send my children out one by one.
They both got undergraduate admission into Memorial University of Newfoundland MUN. But I started with my daughter. Submitted July 18, 2021 and got PPR Oct 1, 2021.
Nah so I relax.....
Then I commenced for my son
Got everything together
GIC of $10,000 CAD
Tuition and others of one year 12,000
Myself and hubby's account for
Passport details of every member of family
I even added COVID 19 certificate
Travel history of USA and dubai
Submitted: May 6, 2022

Good morning family, please I'm.filling my imm1294e form and there are some sections thats a bit unclear.
1. For the cost of study I'm going for a 4 year PhD program, does this means tuition for a year or for four years ?
2. Similarly does the funds available for my stay means for the entire duration of program or per year?

3. I received a fully funded scholarship when indicating my fees would be paid by other do I simply write "Scholarship"?
Note I had previously chose "No" in the eligibility page inquiring about scholarships because the awarding institution in this case my University wasn't listed among the awarding bodies

Pls guys help me clarify, thanks again
I am seriously begging for inputs, pls do not ignore

Please can you explain clearer, I read a lot of people send their passport to Abuja instead of Lagos, despite staying in Lagos, why is that?
Abuja is way faster. I sent mine to Abuja from ib last week Thursday, it got to Abuja on Monday it was stamped on Tuesday and left abuja back to Lagos on Tuesday, got to lag on Wednesday and I received it today. It took basically a week.
