Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Ableman101: 8:24am On Jun 10, 2022 |
Chocs: If you submit your application online (which is the recommended route) you’ll get a message 24-48 hours after the submission to go get your biometrics done. You’ll then have to book a date for giving your biometrics online (all instructions will be provided).
Biometrics and medical exam venues are different! They are two different processes.
You can choose to do an upfront medical or submit your application and wait for them to ask you to go do the medicals. But there are registered venues (panel physicians) where you go to for medicals.
You have to go do the biometrics and medicals yourself. You can choose to book your biometrics and medicals same day if you want and if the dates are available (I recommend doing them on different dates)
After the biometrics, they’ll upload your info to your portal. After the medicals they give you a paper which you upload to your portal if you’re doing upfront medicals.
Cheers Ok great. I appreciate your response and can I do upfront biometrics as well or must I be told to go do it first. How and where do I do it. Does it have a site like the medicals etc. Also please can I email you directly. |

I actually meant the whole visa process since it’s just like I’m a real novice lol Ehh an agent can help you arrange your documents and submit but then nobody loves your application more than you. You’re probably paying them for what you can do but some are worth it though 1 Like |

Good morning everyone,
Been a regular reader for the last few months, this is my first question l.
I got a medical request this morning. I'm assuming that this typically means IRCC are ready to go forward with my application? Is it enough reason to be excited?
PS: I had medicals done exactly a year ago, so I'm wondering if they're just notifying me to redo my medicals because the previous one just expired 1 Like |

PPR POST ALERT!! What God cannot do does not exist!!!
Spouse - SOWP 2 kids - VV Application date - 17th January 2022 BVL- 10th June 2020 PPR- 10th June 2022
The notification mail dropped all at once. I want to say a very Big thank you to everyone for their contributions on this platform and most especially to one of the best hands in terms of writing and reviewing of SOPs @justmellow of GCMSWRITERS (check him out on IG). After he assisted my spouse with reviewing his SOP for his study application (which turned out to be successful), we contacted him again for my application and that of my kids which also turned out to be successful. He is definitely one of the best at what he does and I never doubted his advise and suggestions even for once. I’m super excited as I use this news as a point of contact to everyone waiting on their good news that God will come through for each and everyone of you in Jesus name.
Let me also add that I was completely scared about not having a travel history (asin my passport na and my children’s own na virgin passport) but God took care of it…I submitted a total of 1m Naira in my account, hubby’s account had about 10m Naira and 10k cads.
Thank you all once again and May Canada favour is all IJN Amen. 31 Likes 1 Share |

Hello gurus in the house.
Please I need assistance. I did my visa application on the 22nd of may 2021 then went for my biometrics on the 1st of June. Then, on the 23rd of November, o was asked to go for my medicals which I did on the 8th of December. Till now, I have not received any news yet either medicals passed or PPR. Please, what can I do? If I send message, at times they will reply me that is still under review. What do I do oo? I have done one year anniversary of visa application yet no visa 1 Like 1 Share |
