The same way you're expected to work diligently. Do you get to steal because you aren't paid the wages you think you deserve?
am not supporting them do engage in social vices bcoz they are being short- paid.but the fact is that the heart of man is easily tempted to seek illegal means of sustaining his life especially when he isn't given the regards he deserve in the first place.

Yes man kind evil but more money in their pickets won't solve that issue. If being paid well did there'd be no corruption at the top.

According to the court, Rivers State will be the only beneficiary from the deduction and not the 35 States.

I don't understand the above.
Since it has been established by the court that action of the Federal Governemt is unconstitutional, null and void

Consequently, the court declared the section of the law “permitting the direct deduction of any sum or percentage of revenue accruing to the Federation Account or which ought to have been paid into the Federation Account for the purpose of providing funds for the Nigeria Police Trust Fund” as “unconstitutional, null and void.”

Why did the court say River state will be the beneficiary alone excluding the remaining 35 state

Any take people? undecided

Honestly, I pity Nigeria policemen who are honest and sincere in their duties.

Nigerian leaders are like playing game of fraud with your people's welfare. Salary "increased" severally but no reflection yet.

Police trust fund sponsored by governors but federal government turn and embezzled it too. Chaii for the men on black

They didn't have an issue so why look for a pay day? The other states had their chance to join the suit and they choose not to.

Nice one. One state cannot be working and still yet benefit from other state that is working.

No one should use this as a political score point. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN DEDUCTED SINCE THE ERA OF PDP. One of the stakeholders just feel isn't right and decided to challenge it. So

They are not deducting police money rather the federal government after receiving all money will then deduct 0.5percent from all the federation fund for police scheme before using sharing formula for the reminder

Wike then drag them to court to say they should stop such deduction before allocating the federation account which the court has granted.

And the court made it clear that only river state should enjoy such benefit in future

So Wicked Wike should be the only one fighting the Federal Government for what will benefits the entire states in Nigeria while the rest of the foolish governors look the other way and pretend as if all is well right?

Kudos to the Judge for doing the right thing.

RIVERS AGAIN
I agree with the judgement as it is in line with the constitution of our dear country. However, other states are entitled the to their share of the proceed illegally given to Nigeria Police Trust Fund

It is unconstitutional but other state will not benefit because they didn't join in the case.
So you can't reap where you didn't so.

Although this kind of cade will get to supreme court so the judge is protecting the federal government from any further lost financially

It is a always good and refreshing to see that we have a president who does not intervene in the rule of law.

From Corruption, down to politics, Our darling Daddy always allow the rule of law to take charge...

Memory lane........
Elections In Nigeria now,
There is no need to fear.
Why? Because the will of Nigerians will not be subverted. Never! a president once told us in this country that the coming polls would be do or die.
Not with president Buhari.
Fair is fair.
No foul play.
Under his watch, his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa(now twice), Oyo State, Edo State, Zamfara state and Anambra states.

We still remembered how OBJ froze out all the money meant for LASG back then during thr reign of serious dictatorship.
Wonderful how you found a way to make this about Buhari when it's a victory for Rivers state government over the federal government arrogating to itself unconstitutional powers

Rivers State Government challenge the deduction of its allocation.
So the case file is Rivers State Government vs FG and the others.

So the ruling is in favor of the Rivers State Government.

Rivers State is fighting for its allocation. Not fighting for other States own.
