The Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Senator, Godswill Akpabio, and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) have donated rice worth N10 million to Chapter Excos of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State. Speaking during the distribution of the items to the Exco members of Calabar South, Akpabuyo, Odukpani, and Akamkpa chapters of the Party in Calabar on Wednesday, Chief Orok Duke said the exercise has been going on for the past 25 years. He said, unlike previous exercises where the items were cornered by a few persons, the 2021 and 2022 distribution he was appointed to oversee, recorded some successes. According to Duke who joined the APC recently, “It’s just unfortunate that for over 22 years it had not been so widely distributed like it is being done for the last two years. All thanks to the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Godswill Akpabio because he insisted it should touch as many youths as possible.
