The earlier we realise that we humans create values/appraise things for no reason, the best for us. This is just like the case of soaked Garri, until white men decide to give it value for no reason, we blacks won't value it. That time, some of the people that see Garri as nonsense can't afford to buy it. Who remembers when snails were sold for 50-100 naira per paint rubber (about a decade ago) until some over Sabi stupid men tagged alot of nutritional benefit in it.
