For the love of Christ, the F35-C isn't a new jet, is the same F35 that was produced by Lockheed Martins way back in 2005. The 'C' is to show that it is a variant of the plane designed to accommodate the need of the US Navy carrier fleet, just as you have other variants like F35A for short takeoff and landing, and F35B for short takeoff and vertical landing. Otherwise, it's the same plane that has been plagued with one problem and another.
