2023: NIGERIA NEEDS A PATRIOTIC LEADER.

Ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election, A Nigerian Statesman and erstwhile Senator representing Benue North East, Senator Joseph Akaagerger has called on Nigerians to eschew thier differences and works towards the unity and progress of Nigeria.



Sen. Joseph Akaagerger made this call in Abuja while speaking to StandOut Africa Media. He stated that Nigeria is in dire needs of patriots, who will make germane sacrifices to ensure a peaceful and United Nigeria beyond 2023.



*In his words, "Our nation is in need of Patriots who will put the interest of the Nation above thier personal interest , Nigeria is in need of a leader who will engineer the spirit of brotherhood and fraternity among citizens. Patrotism remains a bedrock of national Unity and potent tool for promoting national cohesion.*



The former military Administrator condemned the rise of violent ethnic amd religious extremists who use the cloak of ethnicity and religion to unleash mayhem on the citizenry, killing, extorting and kidnapping helpless citizens.



He stated that it is against natural justice and good conscience and a threat to National unity for unscrupulous elements to brutalize and unleash mayhem on citizens because they do not share in their religious and ethnic views.


He therefore empasised on the need for Nigerians to be tolerant and respect the views, religion and ethnicity of others and work towards the emergence of a Nigeria which the nation's founding fathers, Nationalist and Patriots have worked so hard to unite.
