Why Is NIMC Improved SLIP For Sale? by Remman(m): 9:19pm On Feb 02, 2022
Good day, Nairalanders.

Please, can anyone mention any country on this planet that asks their citizens to pay a sum of money for printing of their National ID card?

Or

Is it constitutional for Nigeria to sell its National ID card?

On the NIMC app, the NIN card is divided into two "Premium and Standard" (as if it's a product) and they both cost differently. This means over 60 million Nigerian will be paying N1000 (Premium) and N400 (Standard) for the cards. Worst still, the payment is just for you to download it. I thought it was something that will be printed for you and you go to their office to pick it up. Another worst situation is that the card you're paying for is another SLIP which means it cannot be accepted internationally... Chai! No wonder we keep having increasing number of cyber crime, because there's no proper means of identification and the particial way is even for sale.

For the first time ever have I seen a National ID for sale (Fulani regime is exceptional) . Enya... Who do us like this?
