Zulum: Boko Haram May Be Child’s Play If Nigeria Allows ISWAP Fighters Grow by Ebubu: 9:11pm On Feb 03
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has warned that Boko Haram’s menace will be “a child’s play” if the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) is allowed to grow.
He gave the warning when he appeared on the weekly briefing organised by the Presidential Communication Team at the State House, Abuja, on Thursday, Daily Trust reports.

Zulum, who asked the Nigerian Army to re-strategise and defeat ISWAP, said the group posed a threat to the entire nation.

He said ISWAP is building up in Borno through exploiting its closeness to the Sahel.
President Muhammadu Buhari was urged to re-engage external mercenaries for additional support in the battle against terrorism.

Zulum, while speaking on the successes achieved so far in the war against insurgency in the North East, said, “All that I have said now, would never have been feasible without the support of the government. But notwithstanding all the contributions of the federal government, we still have some challenges.

“One, I said it before, a growing number of ISWAP in some parts of the state is a matter of great concern to everybody. In the shores of Lake Chad, again in southern Borno State. Luckily, I was told there was military deployment yesterday to southern Borno state to fight the insurgents in the Tudun Katarangwa area.

“But I think this is an early warning. We shouldn’t allow ISWAP to grow. ISWAP are more sophisticated, more funded and they are more educated. And we shall do everything possible to defeat ISWAP. Otherwise, what Boko Haram did will be a child’s play. This is an early warning that the Nigerian Army has to restrategise and defeat ISWAP.
“ISWAP will be a threat to the entire nation. Because of its proximity to Sub Saharan Africa, they are coming from Libya and others resettling here.”

A fight against BH and ISWAP is a fight against the north. They should enjoy their religion of peace.

But they have already carved out their own country around lake Chad. They collect taxes and enjoy themselves there.

All the “technically defeated” we heard in 2015, as we can all now see, na mouth. They were technically empowered when they heard encouraging words like “a fight against boko haram is a fight against the north”. They were encouraged when the mercenaries hired by GEJ to root them out were succeeding, but sent away by our oga on assumption of power in 2015.

Dasuki stole funds budgeted for the military before 2015 and 7 years later, the military under APC remains under funded. Even the funds released, we hear daily get looted. Our oga promised to be in the fore front of the war against boko haram, but herdsmen added to it and he could do nothing in 7 years.

We hear how northern leaders benefit financially from this wickedness and how there are many sponsors. How then do you expect it to end? If this baba acted according to his promise before 2015, this menace would have long disappeared.

You're very stupid for what you said!! You are the one allowing people to view Islam as a religion of extremist and fundamentalism, you are the one allowing people to see Islam as a religion that glorifies global terrorism. You are the one allowing people to rub the image of Islam to the mud.
There is no compulsion in Islam and Islam denounce any act of terrorism.

Nigeria as a country is not ready to defeat those guys, everything is now politics in this country. There are high rank generals or politicians emblezzling from arms procurement and military deployment bonus funds.
