Hello Nairalanders,Zenith has just released its 2007 Full year audited result showing total assets plus contingents of N1.2- trillion,Gross earnings rose to N94.88-billion while Profit After Tax increased by 63.5 percent, from N11.48-billion in 2006 to N18.77-billion this year.


Consequently,it has announced a bonus of 1 for 4 and a dividend payout of about N9.26 Billion. How do you react to this?

Does it meet your expectations?I think it is not that bad.

A good result by any standard but for a brand like zenith i would have expected a 1-1 bonus.

Good result no doubt but poor compensation.1-4 is not really a good script issue and definitely the share price is going to crash soon and for people like us on long term basis, we have to wait till next year for another appreciation, not too good

I think its a good move, 1 for 2 shares would've been better and, i think, more reasonable too considering the gains that have been registered. I dont think zenith will go down, they've got it all covered up.

Zenith bank has decleared a good result
They deserve to be appreciated with 1-4 bonus decleared net year it may be 1-1

To me 1-4 bonus is not that bad, lets see wat happen net year, i think we are getting there!!!

Don't be silly. The "one for 4" bonus means nothing. It's just inflation. The dividends mean something though.
