Africa doesn't need unity right now

I know you may find that statement annoying, but just calm down and read objectively.

A United Africa told America led NATO not to invade Libya, but its position was brushed aside and Libya was invaded, the consequences of which we are witnessing today.

But guess what would happen, if Russia or China told US not to invade any part of its territory?

Africa Union position on Libya was brushed aside because all of the nations that constitute the union are weak nations.

No amount of unity will make you strong, if you are not responsible, insightful and visionary.

Africa doesn't need unity, as much as it needs responsible citizenry and leadership.

Surely, we need unity, but that's after we have become responsible, as individuals and as nations.

What we need, right now, is each African nations, independently insightful, visionary and strong.

It is the the unity of visionary, insightful and strong African nations that would become potent for greatness, not the unity of weak and irresponsible citizenry and leadership.

Weak people don't have capacity to unite. Their immediate needs far supercedes their quest for unity.

If anyone, no matter how deceptive, promise to give them something they need, they will not think twice before jettisoning any decision made by their amalgamation of weak union.

Therefore, Africa should seek to build responsible citizenry and leadership, that is strong and insightful, not weak unity based on imaginary ideas.
