Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike in Abia state have refused to release the statement of result for most of us that graduated from there since 2019 till now.
After our graduation In 2019, we couldn't process the statement of result in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic that grounded the world of which education was affected too. Now fast forward to 2021 as we all travelled back to school for the statement of result not knowing it was the beginning of our dilemma.
We went to the department and they frustrated us with their excuses that they are working on our results. They were able to compile the results of few then leaving majority behind. We keep on going to the department and still getting the same excuse that the department is working on it.
After our struggle with the department, we were now informed by them that they have sent our results to the school administrative building and our issues are now with them. They also said that the result will go for Vetting, then come back again to the department of which it Will still go back to the administrative building again for final approval.
After few months, the department informed us that they are done with the vetting and that they are with the vetted results and we should be calm because the department will soon send it back again to the administrative building for the final approval.
We weighed a great sigh of relief not knowing that our troubles never ended.
The school Senate approved our results finally and sent it to the office of the Deputy vice Chancellor for her to sign so they can print out statement of result only for her office to refuse signing them thereby sending it back again to the department claiming the results had error. A result that was approved by the school Senate?
Since then till now, the results have been moving from the department to her office only for her to keep on rejecting them. Am talking of since 2019 we graduated till now and the funny part of this is that the 2020 set have graduated and most of them will still pass through this painful stress. The 2021 set too are soon going to graduate and you can imagine the pile of work and the list of students that they are not only frustrating but as well suffering and depriving the parents of this students from eating the fruits of their hardwork. Most of the 2018 sets too are also passing through this with us.
We are begging the Vice Chancellor (professor Iwu) of this great university to please come to our aid. If not for any other thing, pity our parents because we are tired of giving them same excuse that the school management are the ones holding us. Most of us, our parents are even doubting if we even went to school because you can't be telling them you have graduated when you have no certificate to back it up.
Please our humbe Vice Chancellor, pity us and our parents and intervene.
Most of our mates have graduated and done with service while others are in camp now but we really don't know our offence that we are being frustrated this way.

I don't know MOUAU for this,..maybe the school has change,...it didn't take them upto 7month for them to give me my statement of result despite the non academic staff strike that was going on during our time
The then VC (the late prof.) really help us to processed our result speedily, we also did our clearance successfully despite the strike. We finished our exams around July/August 2017, get our statement of result around January/February 2018, received our call up letter for NYSC by March 2018.
