The best time to live on Earth was in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s.

Soon as the internet revolution began, the world took a turn for the worst even though ICT advanced modern living. But c'mon, can you eat your food and not post it on IG and WhatsApp story?

Can you just succeed and not rub it on the faces of others by not posting your wins and success online leaving your peers feeling depressed and deprived?

Can you just come visit and talk to me in person to see how am really living, instead of video calling and texting?

As an imperfect human, can I not just make mistakes and learn from it without going viral online and be subjected to modern day cancel culture?

Can't I be saved from life dangers and accidents without people taking out their phones to record and take pictures of me first?

Our modern world is full of idocrasies, the retardation of a generation.

Seeing this pictures took me back

When NIGERIA was still a country and a home.
those days when
We never had too much but life was fun and peaceful.

Love and fear of God existed

Neighbors were like family

Death : was not rampart, we hardly hear that someone died
If by mistake we heard that someone is dead we will be afraid to even come outside or pass the street where the person died.

Robbery : was not common
Those days we could sleep outside till day break and no nothing will happen to us

Ritual : killing maybe existed but we only imagined it we were not sure cos no one could come out n say they saw it happed.

War: we only hear it news in other countries not here in Nigeria
Nigeria was calm n peaceful.

Religion : Christians n Muslims
Had each others back

Tribe : it was never an issue cos we were one.

Politics : came n distroyed us , divided, made us enemies

We fight eachother for the interest of a criminal politician who
Will loot n still kill directly or indirectly.

There was a country call nigeria now i remember .

buhari is responsible for the religious division lately.
This is a topic for another day

Think of 20-30 years back. Think of the level of underdevelopment in some parts of the world. Development comes with a price. It doesn't matter who or where the price is paid from.
Not really! investment in R&grin, an enabling enviroment and goverment support are what drives tech and science innovation and progress. For proof look no further than china and israel. If these are what you defined as "price", then they are a welcome development and are worth paying.

Oga Ade, there's price to pay for everything, you will carry your own cross even to your own calvary, so worry about your own fortune than you sharing and spreading tears and blood everywhere you get chance to talk, so no just talk because you have to say something, talk because you have something to say.
OK sir.

Then, it was only for mature men.

True. You'll only find big bros and old papas in pool shop combining forecasting for draws with draught playing and seriously sensitive jokes. If you're not mature enough, you no go fit near them.
