Secret societies belong to Satan who knew he will be exterminated so he doesn't expect life eternal and that's exactly what he is telling his human agents:
"get rich now and enjoy whatever there is because you have no chance of living forever"
But on the other hand Jesus is extending the invitation to join the road to life eternal this means it's left to each individual to choose either to travel on the broad road leading of to death or cramped road that's leading to everlasting life! Matthew 7:13-14
