This is a maths problem I cannot solve

It appears that it would cost N1,300 to clean a litre of fuel that costs N200

Surely I must have made a mistake somewhere undecided

If my calculations a correct we need to get ready for N1,500 per litre fuel.

Omo! My car broke down. I figured out it was fuel pump damaged late at night. The filling station had already close as at then.

Hold the station responsible. Simple.

If we allow everything to fly, then we are not ready to move forward.

THE KPOFIRE PRODUCTS WILL IMPROVE WITH TIME WHILE GOVT SUBSIDISE CRUDE SALE TO THE MODULAR REFINARIES LET THERE BE COMPETITIVE PRODUCTION.

But the retail cost of 170,250,000 litres of fuel is just 27,665,625,000 naira wetin dey happen really. Even if we add subsidy, the cost of importing fresh fuel will not be more than 100 billion. So why spend 200 billion salvage bad product. Someone should explain to me pls.

Import adulterated fuel>
Buy 60 million litres and add 110 million worth of ethanol to make the fuel plenty>
Collect 201Billion naira from government to clean up the bad fuel we brought in>
Everybody eats!

cc. Theabomination, stacyadams , make una come and wail again.

How wonderful. Just look at how easily they mention the fact that they need hundreds of billions to clean up the mess they created by putting a corrupt Aboki in charge of assessing the quality of fuel coming into the country.

The worst thing is that we will not hear about anyone getting fired or prosecuted as a result of this incident.

How can you use 201B to clean up petrol that you can buy with 55B or less? It doesn’t add up. It’s either a Fake news or those proposing this are thieves and evil. Your guess is as good as mine.

Actually, it's like trying to dilute a solvent that contains a component that is higher than you want. Let's say I have 1 litre of water with 5g of salt but what I wanted it ti be is 1g per litre. That mean I will need to mix fresh 4 litre of water without salt with the 1 litre of water that has 5g of salt. That way, the new solution of water and salt will now have the right concentration of 1g salt. Its the 4 litre of water that I needed to buy.

Blending is a common practice in the oil industry but its done at the source, not an excuse to import wrong product because it ought to have been analyzed.
