As the president, he has the most influence but governors are the political backbone of a party.

Are you aware the ammendments put more power in the buhari controlled power block?

As it is now those who are allowed to Congress are buhari the VP, senate President/ deputy, speaker/deputy, governors, and the APC NEC that are all pro Buhari

Buhari just need one third of their decision and about 2/3 are with him

He can basically force consensus on Congress date (this maybe explain why Tinubu want to step down for osinbajo to get more pity votes)
