ASUU embarks on a 1month strike: The Academic Staff Union of Universities has, yesterday, declared their intention to embark on a 1 monthly warning strike. This has, however, caused a serious uproar among the students. The strike commenced on the 14th February 2022 being valentine day. Many, has, however, said it is such an unwanted valentine gift from ASUU. The strike was declared by the president of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, on Monday.

He said the strike, started on Monday, February 14, 2022. Besides, this would keep going for an underlying time of about a month.

Even so, as per him, the association attempted to keep away from the strike. Still the Federal Government is inert to the association’s requests.

The ASUU administrator additionally said ASUU NEC blamed the creation of new Universities.
However, he said, “NEC made plans to leave on the four-week turn over an aggregate and exhaustive strike. As the public authority has, nonetheless, neglected to carry out the Memorandum of Action it endorsed with the ASUU in December 2020.
