To be fair buhari did well on this.

Now we have replaced our alpha jets with a decent replacement.

We need to look towards a credible air Defence system and increase the number of our 4.5G strike aircrafts like the JF-17.

We should probably get more two squadrons of the JF-17 block III, and invest in either the S-300 or the S-400 in good numbers and Nigeria's airspace would become a kill-zone for any enemy invasion from the air.

$1.2 billion... Haba Kilode

Unit cost per one is $20,000,000 x 24 = $480,000,000

Training + Logistics + lobbying + building of Facilities, new airstrips and Hangars = $ highest $120,000,000

Total = $ 600,000,000

.
Bros leave that thing o! Military is the cash cow for all these thieves. Do you know how many billions they recovered from Late Air Vice Marshall Badeh.
This is just one person that we know of. Everybody profit from this arms deals, insurgency, banditry and kidnapping. See the Drug scandal rocking the police force. There are so many things we don't know. Some much money being stolen. Automatic billionaires made everyday from stolen public funds, oil money and loans. With the amount of money circulating in Nigeria only few Nigerians are suppose to be below poverty line. But the monies are in few hands and we are hailing them planning to get there to get our own without asking for accountability. We don't care to know that the reason why most people are suffering and everything look so upside down is because our collective wealth and future have been stolen.

You are right.. nobody can Question defence contracts since we don't even know much about it, and they milk us with it

That $1.2 billion if giving to youths accross the 6 Geopolitical zones for startup low interest loan, nobody would be thinking of kidnapping or banditry

After all the money most Yahoo boys steal from US are money dedicated for US citizens like EDD unemployment loan , Social benefits, rent relief funds, and many many more

All hail President Buhari. Mehn this man doesn't make noise, he just takes people unaware. It's one sign of a very disciplined individual. Because with all the negative comments being said about him he has still refused granting interviews to waste his precious time. Instead baba is busy achieving. My mind changed after I experienced the over enhanced quality and comfort of Nigerian railway corporation. I'm sure we will all appreciate this man better once he leaves office. Well except you don't reason tho.

Understanding Egypt’s 54 Rafale and 24 Su-35 Jets Procurement
Egyptian, U.S. officials discuss 'maintaining CAATSA' among other issues

Egypt increased its 24 Rafale aircraft order with Dassault Aviation to 54 by signing up to buy 30 more jets in May 2021; In addition, it is in the middle of procuring 24 Su-35 jets from Russia.

The Rafale fleet will bolster the Egyptian Air Force (EAF) with attack capabilities and reduce reliance on its ageing F-16s.

However, questions are being raised as to why the EAF went in for the comparatively expensive Rafales when it is in the process of receiving 24 Su-35 jets to add to its fleet of Russian MiG-29SM aircraft. The two Russian aircraft enable deep strike missions with a variety of Russian origin missiles, targeting pods and guided weapons.

An informed source from Egypt who did not wish to be identified told defenseworld.net that the Su-35 fulfils a different purpose than the Rafale. "The aircraft’s L-band AESA radar system embedded in the leading edges of fighter wings antennae are there to detect low-radar-signature or stealth aircraft and drones. This is a formidable capability against potential adversaries of Egypt who have or wish to acquire F-35 stealth jets.”

I thought I was the only one who noticed that the cost of hyper-inflated. This version of this jet costs between $20M to $24M and the company provides maintenance and training for 2 years.
Nigeria is a funny country.
$1.2BN is enough to provide better airframes for this country but money must enter people's pockets

Nigeria has more problems than Egypt..
Nigeria is just embarrassing herself in Africa while her praise singers are busy clapping.

We should be ashamed of ourselves in Africa.

You've not included the following: -

1. Spare parts to replace non-serviceable parts
2. Insurance payment to cover cost of freighting (except you factored it in your logistics)

trash .. Russia 5th generation jet , su 57 can't touch the tail of F-35

This clearly show you know little or nothing about fighter jets

F35 max speed is Mach 1.6
SU 57 max speed is Mach 2.0
SU 57 can reach supersonic speed without engaging AB.
F22 is even a better choice than F35. U can quote me anywhere.

Russian combine the versatility and stealth characteristics of F22 and the modern technology and weaponry incorporated into F35 to make their SU57.
22+35=57. U get it now??

It’s like you don’t know shit about Russian jets

F-35’s superiority resides in its mission systems, long-range, high-resolution sensors and targeting, computing, weapons range, and guidance systems. f35 can also be used to send drones into enemy's territory. which su57 doesn't have . su57 is not even stealth to say.
