This is what you get for voting in incompetent and clueless leaders without vision.
It's pathetic that a country blessed with so much human and material resources is struggling with basic things like petrol availability, electricity, pipe-borne water, good roads and a functional healthcare system.
Nigerians, be wise.

Do not be deceived again come 2023.

Nigerians are extremely wicked to themselves yet expect the world to hold them on a high esteem.

Up till the moment, no one has resigned.

No one has been arrested.

No one has been sacked.

In Nigeria, a DCP indicted for fraud by the FBI and arrested at home for being part of a drug cartel.

Nigeria = Joke

I Say Again

Nigeria = Joke

Right now, NNPC buys fuel at N282 and sells it at N162. Government pays a subsidy to cover NNPC losses, and to pay transporters transport costs to keep the fuel cost uniform Whereas if NNPC was selling fuel at N350 as in Niger, the profits would have helped it build and renovate its refinereis.

No, this is what you get when you support fuel subsidy.

Governments have tried to remove fuel subsidy since 1993, but everytime, Nigerians say no. Last chance was in 2012, Nigerians like you said no.

You cannot import fuel at N282 and sell it at N162, or refine fuel above N200 and sell it at N162, and pay a subsidy that does not cover the losses, and expect no scarcity.

Sure Buhari managed to keep scarcity away from 2017 till this month, but at the cost of trillions of naira wasted.(And by lying about subsidy removal repeatedly, and not removing it when the chance presented itself several times over)

If you want high quality fuel...just like you want high quality service....LET SUBSIDY GO....so that the marketer can make a profit, and the profit can pay for standard refinereis that would refine standard fuel, with no impurities, and investment means more jobs.

Why are oil subsidies bad economics?

Every year, the Nigerian government runs huge budget deficits that could have been avoided if money budgeted for oil subsidies was allocated to other critical projects.

Subsidies should be used to spur investment in activities that raise the productive capacities of an economy (such as education, health, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure). They should be targeted at strategic sectors of the economy. They should not be used to finance non-durable consumption items like petrol
.

Oil subsidies are inequitable, as they transfer the national wealth to those who own several cars and add little or no value to the national economy.

sauce: Fuel subsidies in Nigeria: they’re bad for the economy, but the lifeblood of politicians

According to POLITICS NIGERIA, the trial of a separatist leader resumed on Wednesday. Kanu is accused of 15 crimes, including terrorism, treason, incitement, and running an illegal group. Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), previously pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Kanu's Lead Counsel, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), argued on Wednesday that his client had been extraordinarily renditioned. He stated that the alleged offenses committed by Kanu have no basis, and that the location and date of the offenses were not specified in the charges.
