These pictures are from a few months ago. The brand new Ikom Bridge under construction, in Cross River, to replace the old one, which I believe dates back to the Colonial era. You can see the old and new bridges side by side. #infrastructure

I remember the noise made over the Railway leading to Niger and how some people ignorantly said it was due to tribe. I guess the people here are also Fulani.

This is a bridge that was financed by African development bank.its not even a Nigerian project.and you are comparing this important bridge with Buhari borrowing money to construct a rail line to Niger, his reason being that he has cousins over there.

don't get it wrong. Nigerians are not making noise because the rail-line leads to Niger republic but because Nigeria will build/finance the rail-line to Niger republic territory, Maradi.

I believe this bridge u posted ends at the border between Nigeria and Cameroon, unlike the rail-line that extends about 40km into Niger.
