AJimobi was called "Architect of Modern Oyo state" yet Infrastructural development suffered during his 8 years admin. It was filled with projects awarded at outrageous prices and barely completed. For instance, The Idi Ape-Basorun-Akobo-Odogbo Barracks Road was awarded in May 2017 for N71B which included the construction of a fly over bridge at General Gas. The contractor was paid 30% of the fee upfront with an expectation for them to deliver the project by January 2019, the project was not even up to 30% completion before Gov. Seyi Makinde came onboard, re-awarded the contract at a far lesser price, and now the road is completed and the fly over bridge is near completion as well.

Another example is the 65km Moniya/Ijaiye/lseyin road. The contract for "limited rehabilitation" was awarded at the cost of N7B in which N2B has been paid upfront to the contractor upfront and still they didn't even do up till 5% of the Job when Gov. Seyi Makinde came in, and re-awarded the contract to another contractor for #9.92B.
This time around, the design was reviewed to accommodate a better drainage system for the road, an increase in the stone base core from and an increase in the asphaltic wearing. Now the road has been delivered. Should we also talk about the 9.7km Saki Township Road awarded by AJ in 2016 and when Gov. Seyi Makinde came in 2019, the bad state of the road was an eye sore.

On Sept 9, 2020, the contract was revoked for non-performance & re-awarded to another contractor who delivered on time & was commissioned on Jan, 22nd 2022. Gov. Makinde also mentioned that the state was able to save over #1B from d initial contract as awarded by the past admin.

Let me not even talk about the 110km Ibadan circular road as well. You then begin to wonder what exactly did an 8 years admin did succefully to get that title seeing how the present Gov. Seyi Makinde admin in less than 3 years keeps excelling in areas where the past admin failed woefully,

Election is around the corner, don't let anybody try to deceive you. The facts and figures are there for all to see that Gov. Seyi Makinde is more deserving to take up the title seeing the amazing things he has achieved in less than 3 years.
