LABOR PARTY FLAG BEARER, EZE PRIMACY OKADIGBO CONGRATULATES AMAC CHAIRMAN – ELECT, CHRISTOPHER ZAKA OF PDP, COMMENDS INEC OVER TRANSPARENT ELECTION.

The flag bearer of the LABOR PARTY in the just concluded Abuja Municipal Area council Chairmanship election, held on February 12, 2022, Eze Primacy Okadigbo had congratulated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Christopher Zakka, on his election as the chairman - elect of AMAC.

In a press conference held at his campaign office in Abuja on Friday, February 18, 2022, Okadigbo also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a transparent election, noting that Zaka’s victory is a reflection of the will of the people. “I wish to congratulate the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Christopher Zakka, on his election as the chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). His victory shows that power belongs to God and He gives it to who He wishes at each specific time”. He said.

Eze Okadigbo had in the press conference clarified that he was not speaking for his party – Labor Party but was acting on his personal capacity as a contestant. Okadigbo who was one of Zaka’s close rivals noted that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is his friend and advised other candidates to support the chairman elect. He also called on the the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Christopher Zakka to fulfill his campaign promises and take AMAC to an enviable height.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Christopher Zakka, had on Sunday February 13, 2022 emerged as the winner of the chairmanship election for Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) after getting 19,302 votes. He was declared the winner of the chairmanship post for the council election after beating the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Murtala Usman – who polled 13,240 votes – and 12 other candidates.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had promised a credible election after deploying 12,000 ad hoc personnel for the February 12, 2022 area council election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
