The Federal Government says that the meeting with the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will be reconvened on February 28, with the hope of calling off the one month warning strike embarked upon by the union.

Sen. Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment, said this on Wednesday while briefing newsmen at the end of a marathon meeting between the government’s side and ASUU in Abuja.

Quest Times reports that the union had embarked on a nationwide warning strike to press home its members’ demands from February 14.
