Nigerian govt will take advantage of current crude oil price surge – Minister

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, says the Federal Government is deepening effort to spur oil production in order to take advantage of global crude oil price.

Sylva said this in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the forthcoming Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES 2022) slated from Feb. 27 to March 3.

He was reacting to the global oil benchmark Brent crude which rose over five per cent to trade at $103.33 a barrel with escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Nothing go enter our pockets.... Stingy Politicians and Civil servants would corner it

Iran crises during Obama, Jonathan era, what did anybody gain, except for Dasuki and Madueke

In 2022 budget, the projected benchmark price of crude oil was put at about $40 and now it is $100. This means our foreign reserve should grow, or the excess crude Account should increase, at worst FAAC allocation should improve..... Still nothing nothing, everywhere dry
