W@r can be caused by both parties engaged disagreeing on a policy or one party attempting to conquer another's land while the other defends it. It frequently happens between people who live on the same side of a shared border, with one having more powerful weapons and the other having fewer. It could be a domestic conflict between countries or an international conflict involving two or more countries. Since the dawn of time, many w@rs have been fought, the most notable of which were WW 1 and WW 11, both of which lasted four years. The w@r resulted in the formation of numerous international organizations, including the United Nations, the European Union, the African Union, NATO, the Soviet Union, and many others. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine arose as a result of Russia's defense of its territory against hostile invaders.

Ukraine's and Russia's Situations

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), comprised of Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, and the Transcaucasian Federation, is created in post-revolutionary Russia (divided in 1936 into the Georgian, Azerb, Aijan, and Armenian republics). The new communist state, often known as the Soviet Union, succeeded the Russian Empire as the world's first Marxist socialist state. The Russian-dominated Soviet Union grew to become one of the world's most powerful and influential states in the decades after its founding, eventually encompassing 15 republics: Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Belorussia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Following the fall of the Soviet Union's communist leadership in 1991, the Soviet Union was dissolved. Russia and Ukraine were once part of the Soviet Union, or, to put it another way, they were once part of Russia while it was still the USSR. The USSR broke up in the 1990s, and Ukraine basically became an independent country. In 1922, Russia and Ukraine joined the Soviet Union (USSR), which included Belarus and Transcaucasia (modern Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan). Years later, on August 24, 1991, Ukraine attempted to join NATO. NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is America's best defense against the destruction of a superpower like Russia. NATO membership gives the United States an advantage over Russia. Ukraine declared independence from the Soviet Union by issuing a declaration of independence. On December 26, 1991, the Union was disbanded.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the other hand, has consistently declared that Russians and Ukrainians are "one people," which Ukrainians deny.

Ukraine has been seeking membership in the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) since that time (NATO).

NATO is a political and military organization with the goal of ensuring its members' independence and security through political and military methods. After the breakaway in 1991, it should have been disbanded...but they managed to keep it going. The Minsk Agreement said that NATO should keep away from the east, but NATO appears to be pushing eastw@rd on a daily basis, making it appear as though there is a conspiracy against Russia. NATO's mission, according to its website, is to "guarantee the freedom and security of its members through political and military means." In terms of politics, the alliance fosters democracy by allowing members to "consult and cooperate on defense and security-related issues to solve problems, build trust, and, in the long run, prevent conflict."
