Whats IDE For Python Programming For Beginners? by Nobody: 6:23am On Mar 02, 2022
Good day guys.
i got some videos from my cousin flash drive on python programming(about 9 of them).i decided to start yesterday and am having a problem in chosing a suitable IDE.Currently,i have two options one is pycharm and the second one is VSCode.
*
my question is which IDE is best for a beginner who has no knowledge of programming and wants to learn python?

Both IDEs are good for working with python but pycharm is particularly built for this purpose.

Though you can setup a puthon development environment with VSCode by installing relevant plug-ins, PyCharm handles most of the bootstrapping and integrates relavant tools you'll need to start your python journey.

So, I'll recommend you go with PyCharm but if you can install the relevant plug-ins and setup your dev environment, give VSCode a shot!

Is Pycharm free?

What's the consensus on Anaconda?

PyCharm community Edition is free.

About Anaconda, mostly use by those into ML I think. And the advantage is that it is easier with regards to dependencies. Like you could have numpy/scikit inside your anaconda but not on your system.

I often recommend pycharm.

If your system performance is not avarage, then I will recommend you use Vscode as you might get frustrated running pycharm as it will lag a lot.

Also if you decide to go into web develooment with its frameworks, then I will recommend Vs code as it has plugins to give you smooth ride.

In fact, install both if you can if you want peace of mind.

Go with VsCode, though both are okay

VSCode is lightweight
Plugin is very easily to install
You have limitless number of plugin to install
