With the recent scarcity of petrol in Nigeria while many that are being imported are adulterated one causing serious damage to cars and generator, it seems there are intractable problems regarding the oil sector and the problem is beyond the current subsidy the government has been paying.

While one would expect that diesel that is not subsidised should have a stable price, reverse is the case as the price of diesel continue to skyrocket, today diesel is sold above 500naira and this now bring about the question of how much would petrol cost when subsidy is fully removed

Of course the same thing happening to diesel will happen to fuel

300 to #400 there won't be. Fixed price

Price would depends on price of crude oil , quality of petrol

Premium petrol would be around #600 a litre

Should we prepare for steady upward in the price just like diesel continue to climb the ladder without anyone blinking an eye?

Logistics and transportation cost would also be factored in. Transporting fuel from Lagos or Ph port to Borno would attract higher costs when sold in far north

Nigerians should be prepared to buy petrol above 500 when subsidy is fully removed, the recent increase in the price of cement is an indication that capitalist from Africa are not different from the politicians

Price of beer is cheaper in Kaduna compared to Southern states, Cow cost less in the north, there are reasonable difference between prices of automobiles in Lagos and Abuja. I think the major reason why government is reluctant in total removal of subsidy is to maintain uniform price of fuel

If you are not intelligent enough you will know that government can still spend money on certain areas even if not budgeted.

There's always provision for supplementary budget and this year is not the first time there won't be provision for subsidy, yet the government still spend on it.

We all know government is preparing Nigerians towards total removal, but until it becomes official, you opinion is mere speculations

Would depend on exchange rate.

I just hope that when dangote starts refining and we no longer import petrol that it will help bring down the exchange rate because of low demand for the dollar which will then bring down the cost of petrol

Dangote refinery will not bring any different in price of fuel.
Look at price of cement now, all raw materials to produce cement are in Nigeria, price of cement is almost 5k per bag.
Politicians are the major shareholders of Dangote group of companies.

You didn't read what I wrote or you didn't understand.
I said only refining of petrol in Nigeria will affect our exchange rate, and that will have an impact on the cost of fuel.
Were you expecting cement to be cheap at the current exchange rate in a deregulated system or should I explain more
