This is why it is always good to negotiate well when joining organisations without well defined uniform pay. Why should Lukaku be earning more than Mendy

That's how one Wellsite engineer in my client's organisation resigned after just two years because of extreme pay disparity among different categories of engineers. Each negotiated their pay and when you come in and see what others are being paid, you go just weak.

Just a matter of time, you will start feeling less attached to your job. Some will even develop unwarranted hatred towards their colleagues because they are earning far higher than them, doing the same job.

Omo this thing can be very annoying, reason why I have vowed to always negotiate like crazy before I start any job from hence forth. Imagine someone earning twice your salary & doing a worse job. It is painful.
