Yesterday on my way to church around 4:30pm, I saw a boy of about 9 years eating food from dirt(trash). A man came and asked the child to leave but the child refused, he ask the child to speak but the child just stared at him, angry at the child the man simply left, I walked to the child and gave the child my eggroll, buns and coke. I wanted to eat it during service (it's a bad habit I have, I love eating during church hours, mainly because the service is too long and I end up staving before I get home)
The child quickly took the food and ran without saying a word, out of curiosity I ran after the child, we stop at an incompleted building, out of fear i stopped but after sometime I decided to go in the building only to see what I can only describe as pure pain
A little girl of about 4 years was lying down, her brother ( the child I give food to) was feeding her the eggroll and coke. Her legs were swelling, I asked the boy what Happened to her legs, he explained that she stepped on a nail inside gutter.
Quickly I rushed to the nearest pos and withdraw almost all my money, I took the child to the hospital where she was given drugs and injection. I took her brother to my house and bath him. I took him to buy some clothes for him and his sister.
I wanted to take them home but I can't, I'm not financially stable yet and am living with someone rent-free.
So I took the children to a orphanage and payed some money, I promised that I will be coming back with some foodstuffs and clothes when I get some money.

This is so sad Nigerians are suffering and our politicians are living life to the fullest, how much can u steal, I cried today, just yesterday I was complaining about life, yesterday I only ate twice despite me being a foodie just because I didn't have the privilege to buy more food.
I didn't go to the church again, I'm tired of praying , I need action.

The little girl is still in the hospital receiving treatment, later I will go and discharge her but I can't help to think that this children are out here suffering and one politician child doesn't know the meaning of hunger

I don't think they have any and besides it's too early to ask them such personal questions, the children obviously have trust issues not that I blame them I mean life has shown them it's worst at such an early age
Let's focus on build a relationship with them first, I feel when they are comfortable they will say who their parents are and what happened

I understand but the police has to be involved as they are minors and from there have them linked to social workers whose responsibility is to have them place in temporary accomodation while they seek out their relatives.

Did u just say police
Which police, wait do u think this is the US
Do u want me to be arrested, see let's say the truth if I should go to the police two things might happen
First it's either I'm arrested, paraded as a child kidnapper, I mean it's not far fetched living in a country like Nigeria
Secondly I might be exploited from, they will ask me to bring some money for "police stuff like fuel, paper and other stupid things", then they will ask me to bring money to connect a social worker, the social worker will come and dump the children in any underfunded orphanage and call it a day

Let's be honest for once, the Nigeria system doesn't work at all, so many children are going through hell on a day basis but have u seen anything done about it
I think it's better like this, when I have the money I'm expecting I will rent my own apartment, legally adopted them and we can live together.
I don't want them to face the harsh system design to work against them.
And don't worry I will ask the children about their background, if they have any sensible relations I will know what to do then. First let me build a relationship with them, there have been through a lot, they deserve some peace

The little girl you took to the orphanage is still in the hospital?

Only on Nairaland will a young lady take a 9 year old boy/stranger to her house to bath him. cheesy

Your story is incoherent and disjointed. I don't believe understand you. Sorry.

We don't have many critical thinkers again sha. Becauseeee! The way you fed two homeless people, bath one of them, took one to the hospital for treatment, bought clothes for another, and still took them to the orphanage...and the orphanage accepted them. All these you did from 4:30pm.

Your story is false and you know very well that your aim is to be asked to drop your bank accounts details.

Contribute money for a scammer? If you genuinely want to train homeless kids, go out there, you'll find a lot.

More importantly, what about the man and woman who chose to sire those two kids without securing their existence?, undecided

The politicians are themselves from among the people, are they not? undecided
