According to SNBC13, A traffic collision that killed a female pedestrian Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. is being investigated by the Huntington Beach Police Department. Authorities say a female pedestrian was struck and died in a traffic crash in Huntington Beach on Tuesday night.

According to a news release, Huntington Beach police responded to Beach Boulevard and Heil Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. to find a pedestrian in the roadway and a silver 2004 Toyota Corolla.

According to authorities, the Corolla was driving southbound on Beach when it struck the pedestrian who was standing outside the crosswalk. The Corolla's 76-year-old driver remained on the scene and cooperated with officers. The crash was not caused by drugs or alcohol, according to authorities.
