Ngige is doing right, exactly how he should behave

This is Nigeria, irrespective of what party you belong to, your most important constituency is your ethnic group. That is just pure fact.

We know Tinubu nominated Akume for his personal ambition/agenda, so why blame Ngige for doing the same thing.

Every man for himself. Tinubu for future 'president' Tinubu and Ngige for future Governor/President Ngige. So far, I am loving Ngige.

How do you reconcile this silly, mindless and contradictory nonsense?

In your warped mind, your primary constituency is your ethnic group, but Akume and Tinubu doesn't share the same ethnic group and Tinubu obviously supported Akume to maximize and further the party's expansion, interests and advantage.

Sounds like ngige is all about his own selfish and tribal interest, the future and survival of his party should be his primary concern as a member of the ACN/Same way way his primary concern should be his people back home as a Senator.

Ignorant people like you need to understand the difference between political party obligations and official duties and commitments.

Awo fought for his people alone, putting national interest last
Ngige is fighting for his people alone
Like Awo, like Ngige
If you love what Awo did, you must love what Ngige is doing
Anything short of that is blatant hypocrisy

This has got to be the most retarded rubbish ever. How are the 2 and their positions, interests and aspirations related?

And in what way is a minority leader position in the Nigerian senate help his people back home? Also, tell us what any state in Nigeria have gained because of any party leadership position?

Look here, you elected that man to look out for you as a senator from your homeland, you did not send him to Abuja to become the minority leader of the ACN.

Get your priorities right. I bet if the man failed to deliver as a senator, you people will blame the ACN for his incompetency.

@iragbijile: I understand your point and agree with it. That is not why I am calling him pathetic. His rationale for asking that the slot be zoned to the SE is weaksauce, basically:

In a letter to the Senate President, Ngige said the appointment of Akume, who hails from the same Benue State as Mark, negates the principle of federal character.

He said: “His choice is against the principle of federal character,” as it would mean that Benue State would be having two slots in the body of 10 principal officers in the upper legislative chamber.

Ngige had complained that the Senate had marginalised the South-east in the appointment of the principal officers and advocated that the office of Senate Minority Leader should be ceded to the region for any other senator, other than him to take.

Federal character, marginalization? Anyway they debunked his criticism in the same article, so no big deal.
Re: Akume Is Senate Minority Leader by hercules07: 4:20am On Jul 01, 2011
Ngige needs to be sat down and taught what the party he is representing stands for, he is a politician with a lot of support from his home state, what he needs to do is to form alliances that will help push projects down to his Anambra Senatorial district, fighting your party and the PDP over a position is not a wise thing to do, at times you lose some battles in order to win a war.
The expansion of ACN might even play into his hands as it is possible that when it is time to field an SE candidate for the presidency, he will be the chosen one, he needs to position himself within the party to become a power broker and he can only do this by bringing meaningful development to his state and by expanding the ACN in the South East, Tinubu can claim to be a godfather today because he has performed the feat in the SW and Edo.

@musiwa, comparison is odious especially when used for ulterior motives, you are comparing pictures of old residential sections of Yoruba cities with modern business areas of other Nigerian cities.remember the type of person the Yorubas used to describe as a person who used left hand to describe the way to his fathers house.of what relevance are those pix to the topic?

what "sold out" do you guys keep yapping about? who did Tinubu sell out? Is it not the same thing Tinubu did that's causing APGA's mouth to water. I bet the Igbos would want to be "sold out" too but nobody will even buy them for 1 kobo. Anyway, both Tinubu and Ngige don't stand a chance in a presidential race.
