Yes it's practically the only french-enforced place in Canada. Which is why it would be too weird for me to live there as I don't think I have the patience for learning new languages.
The only french I know is stuff I picked up from school.

I agree with you on Canada being an ethically better place to live in than the US.
Though as a guy who likes his toys and gadgets, I hate how things come out first in the US before hitting here.
It's also a much more expensive place to live.

As to learning a new language, I would certainly be open to it if I were dating a french girl , but as to going to take classes and learning it just-because, this would wear on my patience.
